1. Unboxing and Initial Checks (Security First)

2. Connecting and Installing Trezor Suite

Trezor Suite is the official desktop application or web interface used to manage your wallet.

2.1. Navigate to the Official Start Page

CRITICAL: Type the address manually. Never use a search engine result that may be a phishing link.

You will be prompted to install the **Trezor Suite** desktop application (recommended) or use the web version.

3. Firmware Installation and Wallet Creation

Your new Trezor device ships without firmware. This ensures a clean, verified installation.

3.1. Install Latest Firmware

Follow the on-screen prompts in Trezor Suite. The firmware installation process is confirmed directly on the Trezor device screen.

3.2. Create New Wallet

Select the option to **Create New Wallet** within Trezor Suite.

4. The Recovery Seed (Your Master Key)

This is the most critical step. Your Recovery Seed is the only way to restore your wallet if the device is lost or damaged.

4.1. Write Down the Seed OFFLINE

The 12, 18, or 24 words will appear ONLY on your Trezor device screen. Write them down in order on the provided Recovery Seed Card.

• NEVER take a photo.
• NEVER store it digitally (computer, cloud, email).
• Store it securely in a safe, hidden location.

5. Setting the PIN and Passphrase (Final Protection)

The PIN protects your device from physical theft. The Passphrase (optional) is an advanced security feature.

5.1. Set Your PIN

Enter your PIN by referencing the randomized grid on the Trezor device screen. **Do not look at the computer screen numbers!**

5.2. Enable Passphrase (Advanced)

This adds a '25th word' creating a hidden wallet, providing plausible deniability and superior security.

Final Setup Steps

Name your device and select the cryptocurrencies you want to track in Trezor Suite.
